My aunt has her heart set on me becoming her daughter’s godmother, despite the fact that I’m neither religious nor qualified to provide “spiritual guidance” to a hamster or a patio chair, much less a human child.
Additionally, I have been informed that during the ceremony, I will be required to officially “renounce Satan, and all his works” three times. My question is: the way I’m living, can I really afford to burn that bridge?
